What an incredible year it’s been for Creative Waterford’s Open Call. The variety of projects completely blew us away (if you haven’t yet, do yourself a favour and watch this fabulous video showing them off).
It may not even be Christmas yet, but already we’re getting excited to do it all again in 2024. For those who don’t know, our Open Call tends to open in early spring, with successful applicants generally being notified in March/April of the calendar year (we will of course firm up dates closer to the time).
While our application forms are far from the most complicated on the market, there’s still a particular knack to filling them out effectively. With this in mind, our Creative Communities Engagement Officer, Nicola, will be running a series of Open Call grant application clinics in January.
Dates and times so far are as follows:
15th January 11am in Waterford Gallery of Art, Waterford City
16th January 12pm in Old Market House Arts Centre, Dungarvan
17th January 11am in St Carthage Hall, Lismore
These clinics are free of charge to attend, but numbers are limited to ensure quality of discussion. If you want to attend, be sure to RSVP to nspendlove@waterfordcouncil.ie to lock in your spot.
If none of these dates and times suit you, fear not — we will be publishing a video online outlining our tips and tricks for Open Call application, and you are always welcome to reach out to Nicola with individual queries.
We simply cannot wait to hear about your ideas for Open Call 2024!
